Teaching Youth to Do Well by Doing Good
Teach yourself leadership skills before passing them on to your kids.

We see stories in the news all the time about CEOs who use destructive leadership styles in order to grow their companies and pad their wallets.
That is not the type people we want to raise. At Raising CEO Kids as well as in our own family, we hope to instill in kids a sense of honor, caring, and servant leadership where one does well by doing good. Some people seem to be born gifted with natural leadership abilities, but true leadership is earned and is based on many things. To teach our children we must first we willing to learn and strive to master those things we are hoping to teach. We must first start with ourselves as John C. Maxwell recommends in an article called, “To Lead Start With Yourself.” His article really got me thinking about leadership, parenting and developing leadership characteristics in our children.
