YOUR TURN

An account of a different people who are happily hidden from view

I have tried to establish a forum for people who would like to share...anything but guns and politics..So far, my forums have been against-ums.  I have tried this on a number of patch sites over California...Nada! If anything, a little Avante Garde is welcome..also fictional stories presented as truth, which really profiles our govt.  Poetry begged for..your poetry.  I am from Oklahoma, and i know some stories not exactly bantered about.  There was a settlement or "town" located deep in the Kiamichi Mtns in South East Oklahoma (don't know if it still exhists)...but this settlement was started by only one family.  It was a large family when they stopped there and set up camp.  It is amazing to me that they did what they did. The name of the settlement was Prichter.  This was not the family name.  It came from an event when one of the boys asked one of his sisters to go out on a date.  When asked by a brother what they did, he answered what they did .....and that is how the town got its name.  Because of all the in-breeding, they were limited in the ability to express themselves....Their favorite word was  "Duhhh"   They proliferated by the only way they knew and their defects became finely honed.  For some reason, they were excellent at raising food. They got their milk from a good herd of cows, and actually brought money into the town by selling milk...They produced their own news paper and it was published once a month.   I have a copy and the news was :  Elsie Crack, 103, Set herself on fire when she fell asleep on her front porch while smoking...something.  Her caretaker, Grandma Ogg, threw  Pale of water on her to "knock down" the flames.  'Crack showed no signs of burnage, but her arms showed red, and copious amounts of axle grease were applied.  She is now being treated by Claude Balls, a doctor, for Pneaumonia.  The Prichter boys football team beat the Gas, okla boys with a final score of 256- 230,   The defensive lines forgot to show up.  A local man Gippy Lallosept..( Bastard son)  set a large grass fire while teaching his young son how to start a fire  The current temps are 23 deg in downtown Prichter.
