Bystander Follows Car Burglary Suspect Until Arrest Near Sequoia Elementary
A 28-year-old man was arrested Thursday.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary last week after a bystander saw him breaking into a truck at the Manlove Road light rail station and then followed him, according to a Sacramento Sheriff's Department crime log.
Around 6 a.m. on Thursday, the bystander took photos of Roy Dellamaggiore in the act of breaking into the truck, including some of him sitting inside the vehicle, the crime log states. He then called 911 and followed Dellamaggiore as the suspect fled on foot from the station.
Deputies arrived as the suspect was nearing Sequoia Elementary School.

Department spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos said the suspect initially ran from deputies, but stopped when ordered.
Dellamaggiore was found with tools and two car stereos, which the owner of the truck later identified as belonging to him, according to the crime log. The truck's ignition column was also found to have been tampered with, the department said.
