Capital Christian Baseball Battling for Spot in Finals
The Capital Christian Cougars face the Escalon Cougars Saturday in the first of a best-of-three-series.
Only one school stands between 's baseball team and the Division V finals, but it's a best-of-three series.
Capital faces the central valley Escalon High School at 3 p.m. Saturday in Stockton.Â
Oddly enough, both teams' mascots are the Cougars.

Capital beat its , Calaveras, in an 11-5 game on Thursday. Â Escalon won its first playoff game against Bret Harte 16-2 the same day.
Escalon has the higher seed in Saturday's matchup, and is considered the home team. The game will take place at Billy Hebert Field, 3545 Alvarado Ave. in Stockton.

Game two will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, also at Billy Hebert Field.
The winner of the series will either face Dixon or Hilmar.
