Capital Christian Basketball Seeking Sponsors

Banners hanging from gym need sponsors to fund team's travels throughout state.

The Capital Christian boys basketball team is looking for sponsors for the upcoming 2012-2013 season. The team earned its first San Joaquin Section championship last season and is hoping to continue the winning trend.

"Under the leadership of Head Coach Devon Jones, the team demonstrated they are one of the best in Northern California this summer," a press release stated.

The team's expenses include traveling the state to play in top-level tournaments, and the main fundraising effort is the sale and renewal of banners that hang from the gym throughout the year. Any player soliciting a banner gets his season fees waived (usually between $150 and $300), though this doesn't include the school participation fee.
