Did Saturday Shooting Victim Know the Suspect? (Update)
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department provides more info on Saturday's incident at Sequoia Elementary School.

Since Saturday's , readers have been asking lots of questions. Was it drug-related? Was the victim meeting the suspect there?
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department provided this update Monday:
"There is nothing to indicate that the victim knew the suspect," sheriff's department spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos said in an email. "The victim was at the basketball courts, and was approached by two males. One of them brandished a gun and demanded money from the victim. The suspect then shot the victim in the neck and ran, with the other guy he was with, from the scene."

Ramos said there's no information to indicate the incident had anything to do with drugs or a drug deal.
"Suspects were described as either light-skinned black or Hispanic males, both wearing dark hoodies," Ramos said. "One was about 5-foot-6 to 5-font-7 with a medium build, and the other was closer to 6-foot, also with a medium build."
