Quilting Craft: A Black History Month Program (School Age (6-12))

Join artist Daphne Burgess for a fun and educational craft program celebrating Black History Month! Quilters tell stories with their work: the importance of colors, shapes and design can be seen with each unique creation. For this project, participants will create their own “quilt” using traditional patterns and collaging of paper and fabric. This is a free program hosted by the Franklin Community Library.

This is a free program, hosted by the Franklin Community Library, providing one on one genealogy instruction and information. Each session is with Deborah Sweeney, the “Genealogy Lady”. Appointments, which can be made at the branch, are preferred but walk up patrons are also welcome if time allows.
