A long season came to an end Thursday night when the girls varsity basketball team fell 36-56 to Calaveras High School in the town of San Andreas. With the loss, the Cougars were eliminated from the playoffs. The team's final record for the season was 20-9, and 7-3 in league play. The Cougar boys are the sole remaining Rosemont-area team in the Sac-Joaquin Section basketball playoffs, and <a href="http://sacjoaquinsection.blogspot.com/2011/02/sjs-basketball-schedule-for-this-week.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">take on Summerville High School Monday in Tuolumne</a>.
