Man Caught Selling Allegedly Stolen Phone
A 20-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in Rosemont.

A 20-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly trying to sell a stolen phone on Craigslist.
Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos said a man whose car had recently been broken into saw what looked like his phone on Craigslist.
"He made arrangements to meet them, [and] ended up meeting at the on Kiefer," Ramos said by phone.

The buyer called the sheriff's department first with a description of what the seller said he would be wearing. When deputies arrived around 11:45 a.m. they saw that person with three others, so they detained all of them at gunpoint until they could figure out who was who, Ramos said.
It turned out the buyer and seller had each brought a friend along. The buyer identified the phone as the one that had been stolen from his car, and 20-year-old Sherman Jamar Tillman was arrested on a felony charge of possession of stolen property.

Tillman's friend was not charged or arrested, Ramos said.
Tillman is on probation, so deputies were able to search his home to try to find other items taken from the victim's car–but came up empty-handed.
Tillman is currently being held on $15,000 bail, and is due in court Friday.
