A summary of recent crimes in Rosemont.

An uninvited guest fled after being spotted in a Rosemont backyard this week, authorities say.
The man, who was described only as a white adult, was spotted around 2 a.m. Thursday at a home on Kingsport Way, Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesman Dep. Jason Ramos said.
Ramos said the resident told authorities that the backyard visitor was talking to a second person, who couldn't be seen.

At first, the boy said six to eight males assaulted him and took his bike, Ramos said. The boy later said the group tried to fight him, so he dropped his bike and ran. He knew one of the males from school, Ramos said.
"When he returned, his bike was gone, so he assumed that these guys took it," Ramos said in an email. "He also admitted that he was never actually assaulted."
