Screen-Free Week is an annual event devoted to reducing the time kids spend watching TV, playing Angry Birds, and tweeting their friends. Alan Candee, former supervisor of the Walnut Grove Library, will share the latest research on consequences of excessive screen time and will offer fun suggestions on how to pry your kids away from their TVs, computers, and hand-held devices.
