Merryhill Elementary and Middle School Principal Named Elementary School Principal of the Year
Denise Ondrof, principal of Merryhill School® in Midtown Sacramento, receives national recognition by Nobel Learning Communities, Inc.

Sacramento, Calif., (Nov. 5, 2014) – Merryhill Elementary and Middle School in Sacramento, Calif., is proud to announce that Denise Ondrof has been named Elementary Principal of the Year by its parent organization, Nobel Learning Communities, Inc. Ondrof received the honor at Nobel Learning Communities’ annual principal conference, which was recently held in Las Vegas. Ondrof was instrumental in opening the new Merryhill Midtown location in 2013 and has built a robust and state of the art learning community. The school currently has more than 380 enrolled students.
“I am honored to be named Principal of the Year. It’s truly a privilege to work with such an amazing and skilled faculty on a daily basis and I really owe this recognition to them,” said Ondrof. “Our dedicated team of caring and talented teachers and administrators routinely go above and beyond to ensure our students have a positive learning experience. I would like to thank my faculty, our families and Nobel Learning Communities for their constant support.”
The Elementary School Principal of the Year award is presented annually to the principal who stands out among Nobel Learning Communities’ schools across the country for inspiring and motivating both students and staff.

Ondrof joined Merryhill School in 2007 as west coast director of education and became principal of Merryhill School at the Park City location in 2009. In 2013, Ondrof became principal of the new Merryhill School in Midtown. Ondrof worked closely with Nobel Learning Communities to open the Midtown campus and help lead the building renovation, enrollment and curriculum development. Ondrof received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Wake Forest University and earned her master’s degree in education psychology with a concentration on gifted education from the University of Virginia.
