Poetry Out Loud Comes to Rosemont High School
Sacramento County Office of Education hosted a regional poetry performance competition on Thursday.
Poetry Out Loud, a national poetry recitation competition, came to on Thursday.
The regional event was hosted by the Sacramento County Office of Education and featured 18 students from 18 schools in the area. Brittany Wiltz of Natomas Charter School won the contest and will advance to a statewide competition. The winner of that contest will go on to a national competition in Washington, D.C.
Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly described the next level of competition. By winning on Thursday, Wiltz advances to a statewide competition. Rosemont Patch regrets the error.
