POLL: Should Sacramento's Teachers Take More Furlough Days?

It's been said that tough times call for tough measures.

The ongoing recession, a weak housing market and high unemployment have forced cuts to California's schools.  Officials have already forecast a $15.7 billion deficit for next year's state budget.

The financial doom and gloom reached Sacramento last week, when teachers from the Sacramento City Unified School District agreed to take at least two furlough days over the next years.  And if voters don't approve tax increases this November, Raymond's lette said "massive" cuts will force teachers to take up to 10 more furlough days.

Tough measures, indeed—but are they the right measures?
