Poll: Who Has Your Vote for Assembly District 8?

Six candidates will face off on June 5.

Next week's primary election will feature six choices for the newly created Assembly district that includes Rosemont, parts of north Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Carmichael, Rancho Cordova, and stretches southeast to include Vineyard, Wilton and Rancho Murieta.

Alyson Huber is the incumbent for the area formerly known as District 10, but she isn't running in 2012.  Mariko Yamada is the incumbent for the old District 8 which included most of Yolo and Solano counties and is not running for the newly created District 8.

Out of the six candidates, Phillip A. Tufi is the only one with Rosemont ties. The Republican has his campaign headquarters at 4226 Rosefield Way.

Because of new open primary laws, the two top finishers will face each other in the November general election, regardless of their political party.
