Renovations Delay Reopening of 'The Rink'

The renovation of the former on Bradshaw Road has fallen behind and the roller rink will not reopen Friday, one of its new owners said.

"We’ve hit a little delay," Brad Armstrong said. "We just have a few more things that we need to get done."

As of Thursday afternoon, bathrooms had been retiled and dozens of roof tiles had been replaced, but the snack bar and other details were still under construction. Armstrong also said the snack bar would require a county health inspection before the rink could open.

"Everything was in pretty bad shape and we want to make it all right before we open," he said. "We definitely want to spend a little more time and make it right."
