Rosemont Woman Foreclosed on Twice, Sues Bank

Miriam Lord lost her Rosemont home to foreclosure twice.

A Rosemont woman is suing Chase Bank for $6 million after the bank foreclosed on her house on two separate occasions, according to News10 and Sacramento County court records.

Miriam Lord, who bought a house on Bramble Trail Way in 1992, fell behind on her mortgage in 2009, according to court documents. She tried to modify her loan, but Chase mixed up her payments and thought she had stopped paying altogether, News10 reported.

The bank sold her house and kicked her out. Then Chase and Fannie Mae tried to reverse the error and gave Lord the house back–but they allegedly mailed notices to the Bramble Trail Way home that she had already been evicted from.

Lord never got the new letters because she was no longer living at the home, so Chase foreclosed on her again.

The house has since been vandalized and its condition has deteriorated, according to News10's report.
