So you want to take the kids fishing for the first time? Tips for your first fishing trip!

Fishing is a wonderful way to spend quality time with your family.Chances are that you want your kids to learn to fish it doesn't matter whether or not your child is a boy or a girl. It is fun for both,Kids will love fishing if they have a fun time.


First and foremost kids don't have a lot of patients so try to take them fishing in a well known fishing spot were you know they are going to catch a fish.


 kids are going to make mistakes!get the fishing line tangled up even hook you or themselves.Encourage them when they get it right and gently show them “a better way” to do something when they get it wrong.Such as look before you cast.

Make sure you have drinks,snacks,stories things to keep them busy while waiting to catch the big one.


Make sure an adult has a fishing licence don't want any trouble with the ranger!

List of items you will need to take the kids fishing

1.Sun screen

2.Fishing pole

3.Bait(I'd use worms)you may want a ice chest to keep them cool in their container if it's really hot out.

4.Patience

6.Snacks,water

7.Towel

8.Nail clippers to cut the fishing line

9.Insect repellent.

10.First aid kit

Remember water safety make sure they use a buddy system have a life jacket if by a large body of water especially if moving quickly, or know how to swim Fishing with the little ones a pond would be much safer.
