Suspect Grabs Cash at 7-Eleven; Deputies Assist Woman at Rite Aid

A summary of recent events in Rosemont.

Authorities say a man tried to return a gift card to the 7-Eleven on Kiefer Boulevard Tuesday afternoon and wasn't happy when the store wouldn't take it back.

According to a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department crime log, the man pushed an employee out of the way, grabbed a handful of cash from the register and bolted from the store.

Once outside, the suspect fled "in an unknown direction in a vehicle," according to the crime log.

Deputies called to Rite Aid for loud customer

Authorities transported a customer home from the Kiefer Boulevard Rite Aid Sunday evening, Ramos said.

"At around 8:15 p.m., an employee from Rite Aid called and said that a female was in the bathroom of the store yelling and acting erratically," Ramos said in an email.

He said deputies knew who the woman was, and detained her. They then drove her home, since no crime had been committed.

"Rite Aid management was satisfied with the disposition of the incident," Ramos said.
