Dorobo” follows 16-year-old orphan Nitra and her friend Thane as they struggle to survive in a dark world devoid of air. When the pair join an oxygen theft ring and go on a reconnaissance mission, they discover shocking news that changes everything. The book was a quarterfinalist for the 2014 Amazon Breakthrough Novel award.

Feasel, 25, graduated from San Jose State University in 2011 with a degree in anthropology and behavioral science. She is an applied behavior analysis therapist, working one one-on-one with children and adults on the spectrum to build their language and social skills.

Dorobo” is her third novel and the first published in paperback. Her two earlier science fiction novels, “Incompatible” (2012) and “Ineffable” (2013), and are available in Kindle editions through Amazon.

“I write because I enjoy placing flawed characters into extreme social paradigms as a way to ponder conceptions and beliefs about humans and society,” Feasel said. “Ultimately my goal is to watch my characters develop based on their social, cultural, and personal conundrums.”
