On April 29, Clayton Fletcher, 34, of Loomis was arrested during a traffic stop following a search of his vehicle by sheriff’s deputies that uncovered a concealed firearm under Fletcher’s seat, a rifle, a silencer and ammunition. He was out on bail from a prior arrest. Then, on May 4 deputies found additional silencers, multiple shotguns, AR 15 lowers, loaded magazines and numerous rounds of ammunition at his home. The police found a way to keep him from getting arrested again. He's currently being held without bail. (FOX40)
  4. Hundreds of people who live near Lakeside Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Folsom have signed petitions protesting the opening of a planned crematorium in their neighborhood. On Tuesday the Folsom City Council voted 3-2 to allow that crematorium to open. They said there were no other options in Folsom for cremation and all air quality standards would be met. 5. House of Oliver restaurant owner Matthew Oliver has been a vocal opponent of California’s coronavirus policies. During the pandemic, Oliver kept his restaurant open with inside dining at a time when that was prohibited. “We dared to asked questions,” Oliver said. “We dared to continue to employ our employees, to continue to pay our employees. We continued to keep outdoors open and serve our community.” The Alcoholic Beverage Control has an open case against him that has been active since December 2020. They are still pursuing it.
