  1. 105 Noshery has served its last nosh. The owners made the decision to close its doors on November 9. "The space will now become part of the Randy Peters Catering and Event Center." The increased space at the event center will host some fun new event offerings. "Things to come in 2023 in the new event space: champagne dinners, winemaker dinners, brewmaster dinners, bourbon dinners, special cooking classes, and more!" (105Noshery.com)
  2. A large industrial fire broke out early Thursday morning near the Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln. A 5,000-foot industrial building and several trucks and trailers were destroyed in the blaze. There were no initial reports of any injuries. (KCRA3)
  3. Looks like Measure C is going to pass. It would raise the transient occupancy tax for hotels and short term rentals to 10% from 6% and generate nearly $3 million in revenue for the city yearly. Right now, the overwhelming majority of Rosevillians agree it's a good idea. Some mail-in votes are still to be counted. (ABC10com KXTV)
  4. Fifty years to life in prison may seem like a stiff sentence for road rage, but a judge in Placer County decided it was warranted in the case of 43-year-old Zubin Bogdanoff of Roseville. This man repeatedly played "bumper cars" with several vehicles on one-way roads in Roseville. Ten years ago, he also was reportedly driving in Rocklin when he came across someone who was “driving too slow. Bogdanoff followed the elderly man home and confronted him in the home’s garage," striking, kicking and stomping him and leaving him with brain damage. The judge took into consideration Bogdanoff's attitude that he believed he had not done anything wrong in any of those instances when the sentence was issued. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
  5. Folsom High tight end Walker Lyons was honored as one of the nation's top 100 football players when he was named to play in the All-American Bowl. His coach calls him a model player, not only for his skill on the field, but his humility off the field, as well. Lyons has committed to Stanford in 2024 after a gap year. (ABC10.com KXTV)

  • Roseville Theatre Arts Academy presents, Romeo & Juliet. "This play is funny, it's dark, it's beautiful, it's dangerous and moody, it's poetry and, best of all, it was made by and for this community." (7:30 PM)

From my notebook:
