1. Focus on what you have, not on what you don't have.: This allows your mind to be present moment oriented. It allows your mind to not be living in the past or future. It allows you to feel grateful for what you already have and let what you want be attracted more naturally. It takes away complaining and worrying because it allows you to make the best of what you have despite not having what you want. You feel more high mood related feelings when you focus on what you want because you feel your mind with satisfaction with no room left for any low mood related feelings. This allows your thoughts to how you want. 2. Love the process not only the outcome.: When you love the process of doing something you are more focused on the present moment and not living in the future, which is where the achieved goal will take place. The process is what makes the outcome become possible. When you love the process you enjoy the experience which allows you to enjoy the outcome even more. Without a process then there would always be Instant Gratification. If everything was instant and easy then everyone would reach their desired outcome. When you love the process you become more happy because you understand the nature of processes. If you remember the process is leading somewhere, this will help you focus more on the moment. People lose focus on the process or present moment when they start living in the future. I'm not saying don't imagine already achieving the outcome, because visualization is powerful, I'm saying don't live so much in the future that is compromises the process and present moment. These two important principles actually allow you to apply and practice all the other principles that are needed to live a more happy life. These allow you to focus on the good, feel gratitude, live in the moment, enjoy experiences, visualize, be balanced, have a desire, practice persistence, do your best, think positive, worry and complain less, and etc. - James Royal Apple
