- The Tour de Lincoln is back for its 20th year on October 15! Your registration fee includes a continental breakfast, well-stocked rest stops along the routes, and a great post-ride BBQ & beer lunch. All proceeds benefit the Lincoln Rotary Club and go toward Rotary’s local service projects. You can sign up for a nice, flat 15 miles, or really go for it with a metric century ride of 62.7 miles over beautiful rolling hills. See you on the course! (Roseville Today)
- Derk Garcia, Roseville City School District superintendent, has a message for district families and staff: Strong professional development makes for a stronger, more supportive academic community, so Garcia wants you to know that RCSD prioritizes development of its staff. - The Placer County Board of Supervisors approved the work plan for 2022-23 for the county's housing program in a 4-0 vote at its September 27 meeting. The board received a report from Deputy Director of Placer County Community Development Resource Agency Shawna Purvines. Per the report, Purvines said that permits have been issued for 14 low-income units, 30 moderate-income and 424 at the above moderate-income level. That represents 5.9 percent of the 7,854 units that need to be identified by 2029. (Gold Country Media)
- Style Magazine's Readers' Choice Award Best of 2022 recipients for Rocklin, Granite Bay and Roseville have been announced! In the "Best Museum" category, the Roseville Telephone Museum took top honors. "Best Bakery" was awarded to Pushkin's Bakery & Cafe Roseville. Did your favorite establishments make the cut?
