A Baby on the Way: Pre-Baby Bucket List
Date nights, a couples cooking class and one last vacation are on mine. What's (or what was) on yours?

Even though I don’t have an official pre-baby bucket list, Alex and I talked about things we wanted to do and accomplish before having a baby. Our list went something like this:
- Be financially ready
- “Finish” the house (I know that the house will never be “finished” but we wanted to make sure the nursery was ready, the house was somewhat organized and ready for a baby
- Take a road trip together
- Take a cooking class together
- More date nights
- Organize photos (we have photos from the last six years saved on three different computers … this one has been a slow process to organize)
- One more vacation just the two of us
A few have already been checked off and last weekend we were able to cross off another item: Take a cooking class together.

I love to cook and for years have been talking about wanting to take a couple’s cooking class. I looked at classes in San Francisco and Sacramento and found them to be a little out of our price range. Luckily, I came across classes offered at Whole Foods Market in Sacramento (I wish Roseville’s Whole Foods offered these classes as well).
Last weekend, Alex and I took our first cooking class together. It was us and four other couples preparing dinner and dessert together in the market’s culinary center. We made bruschetta, a cucumber salad, shrimp and veggie kebabs and lemon/lime bars. We left full and happy we did something different for our date night.

We’re still working on completing our pre-baby bucket list and having fun enjoying our family of two, even if it is for just three more months.
Did you have a pre-baby bucket list? What was on yours? Is there anything we should add to ours?
