Adult WAKA Kickball League Resurrected
The Roseville adult WAKA kickball league is expected to be the featured sport for the New Roseville Town Square Project.

WAKA adult kickball is coming back to Roseville after a two-year break.
Matthew Heintz, the Roseville league’s organizer, said he is trying to create a fun and social atmosphere for the people in Roseville, so they won’t have to leave the city to have fun.
“We are just trying to give Roseville a sense of community,” Heintz said. “For the 21 to 35 year-olds to get a sense of community and see it as their own.”

Heintz described the 21-and-over league as a great sport for people of all athletic types. Individuals can join the league without needing to start their own teams.
“The biggest thing that I love about kickball is that anyone can play,” Heintz said. “It’s pretty much just fun and open to everyone.”

There are also plans for a tournament sometime this summer.
The overall vision, according to Heintz, is for WAKA kickball to be the featured sport for the new Roseville Town Square Project. The goal is for participants to play kickball and then walk across the bridge to the Town Square where they can socialize and network at one of the local businesses.
The cost to join the WAKA league is $65 for a full season, which guarantees the player at least 10 games, along with discounts sponsors offer. Games will be on Monday nights.
