With just 3 months left, Debra Maginn, local Roseville resident and youth coordinator, is in great need of 64 American families to host high-school age students from Spain for only 3 weeks this summer.
Debra Maginn has been organizing these groups for more than 7 years in the Roseville/Rocklin/Loomis/Lincoln,
and Newcastle areas. “This is the most who’ve asked to come to America this year,” says Debra, “Word has gotten out how friendly our families are here!”

The students’ English levels vary but generally speaking, their English skills are outstanding because they’ve been studying English since kindergarten. Additionally, the students are fully insured and will have their own spending money. Host families will only need to provide their
student food, lodging, and some transportation during their stay.
This is a great opportunity for students from other countries to come and experience a “true American”. By immersing these students with American families, they can not only improve their English but also catch a glimpse of
what being a real American is all about. It is also a perfect ambassador opportunity for us as Americans.
Debra Maginn is a youth coordinator for American
Discovery, now in its 21st year. The mission of American Discovery is to connect families & cultures, one family at a time.
