Regional Career Workshops and Clothing Drive Offer Support to Empower Neighbors to Get Back On Their Feet and Dress for Success

Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) or Church of Christ, one of the fastest growing international Christian organizations, will hold career workshops for residents in Sacramento and Placer Counties on Saturday, April 14. The day of service is a joint effort of volunteers residing in Roseville, Elk Grove and Sacramento, only one of many in the region to be offered throughout Northern California this month.

Attendees can take home FREE professional attire, and will leave with a network of support and career development tools to empower them move forward in work and in life. 

Professionals will offer one-on-one training with attendees, along with FREE workshops addressing job searching and application techniques; writing a resume that works; tips and tools for interviewing; and self-branding to network and dress for success.

All community members are welcome.

“We hope to directly demonstrate the INC’s continuing commitment to those who may need a small gesture of support,” says Joselino Castillones, Iglesia ni Cristo District Minister of Northern California. “Many volunteers are combining their professional and educational resources for this effort, and for even more activities to come; we know it is a duty to provide not only spiritual needs, but assistance for our neighbors in any manner possible. It is our way of saying we are here to help.”

The event is part of the INCGiving Project, which inspires ongoing activities that support the efforts of community partners by offering time and resources for the wellbeing of those in need. Member volunteers are taking a multi-service approach to address the issues facing residents of the area while setting the tone for future programs that support family and community development – a global project to share faith through acts of kindness. incgiving@inctvprod.net
