Roseville Firefighters Deliver Toys to Homeless Children

Several underprivileged children got an unexpected surprise Thursday night in Roseville. Members of the arrived at the with Santa aboard their fire engine to hand out stuffed animals to children of homeless members of the community.

An off duty member of the fire department and his family were helping to serve dinner at the gathering inn shelter when they noticed that there were several small children in attendance. A call was placed to the local fire station to see if there were any extra stuffed animals at the station which firefighters usually hand out to comfort children during an emergency.

Members of Roseville fire station 1 not only found a stash of the stuffed animals to donate but as luck would have it, on their way to the shelter they spotted Santa walking along Douglas Boulevard and asked if he would help deliver they toys.

Much to the surprise of the children Santa arrived at the shelter unannounced and handed out a gift to each child thanks to the quick action of firefighters and a little luck.
