A Mom's Day on the Farm event, funded by The Beef Checkoff, is offering a unique opportunity on Saturday, July 19 for a limited number of local moms; the opportunity to put a face and a place to where and who raises food for your tables. On this one day you will be able to:
* Tour the O'Connell Ranch.
* Learn about the history of this farming family and see how and where they produce food.
* Have an open and honest discussion with local experts on issues surrounding food production.
* Beginner cooks will learn the basics of selecting, storing beef and grilling the perfect steak.
* Foodies will learn about marinades, rubs and prepare quick beef wraps and salads.
