The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Roseville.

Morning, everybody. It's me, Jeri Karges, your host of the Roseville Daily — back in your inbox with all the most important things happening in town. Let's do this.
First, today's weather:

Here are the top five stories today in Roseville:
- On Sunday, a Roseville Police Officer made a traffic stop on an SUV with three people inside at Pleasant Grove Boulevard and Roseville Parkway. One of the occupants was on searchable probation. A search of the vehicle uncovered a recently-stolen catalytic converter. Good work from our Roseville Police allowed them to connect the converter with one stolen earlier in the city. The suspects were booked into the South Placer Jail on various charges. (City of Roseville, California Police Department via Facebook)
- Placer SPCA's Barktoberfest is scheduled for October 22 in Rocklin this year. Barktoberfest is always a ton of fun with costume contests with your furry friends and even doggie-and-me yoga sessions. In the past, the police K-9 unit showed up with demonstrations of how the professional dogs do their thing. More announcements about what you'll see this year are expected closer to event day. (Roseville Today)
- Fentanyl poisoning has killed dozens of Placer County residents since 2019. Placer County has posted a podcast to take a deeper look at how this substance has affected our communities. The “One Pill Can Kill” podcast is presented by the Placer County Health and Human Services Department, Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office. It's a good one to listen to with your kids. - Rocky’s 7440 Club in Citrus Heights has agreed to some actions that will, hopefully, dramatically reduce the calls police receive for the place. In a signed settlement, Rocky's 7440 Club agreed to give up its liquor license for 30 days. When the license is returned, the club agreed to “new operating conditions on the license which will require restrictions on outdoor service of alcohol, live entertainment and the hours during which the premises can serve alcoholic beverages.” If there are further complaints within the next three years, Alcoholic Beverage Control can, again, revoke the license.
