- The city of Rocklin is scheduled to divert traffic this month to fix several city streets. The roadwork is tentatively scheduled for September 14th through late October. The repairs are needed to fix a sinkhole on Midas Avenue and sagging portions of Camelot Drive and Sceptre Drive, Rocklin City officials said. (Gold Country Media)
- Roseville Police are warning of donation scammers targeting the region. In this time of need for so many who have been hit by the ravages of fire and pandemic, those fortunate enough to be able to open their wallets are being targeted by the bad guys. Read this article for some tips that police are recommending to protect yourself from the scammers. (Roseville Today) Police also want renters who owe back rent to BEWARE. Often scammers reach out to renters facing eviction, pretend to be with the government, and promise them rental assistance and ask for bank account and other information. (Facebook)
- Placer County officials are inviting the community to join them at a 9/11 Liberty Tree event in Auburn on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 9 a.m. to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our nation. The event will feature short speeches from Placer County Supervisors Jim Holmes and Cindy Gustafson, former Supervisor Harriet White, Placer County Sheriff Devon Bell, Placer County Fire Chief Brian Estes and Assistant Director of Emergency Services Dave Atkinson. White will lead the singing of “God Bless America.” (Facebook)
- The family is looking for answers to a hit-and-run accident that happened along Highway 50 near Prairie City Road in August. The victim, Dominic Dagsher of El Dorado Hills, left his home at around midnight to get food and never made it home. According to his mother they know that at some point, Dominic was violently attacked and stabbed by someone. They believe that is why he crashed his truck along the median of the highway. He left his truck after the crash and was hit by an oncoming car that did not stop. The family is looking for someone to come forward with answers. (ABC10)
- NASCAR racing and the Trailer Bash are back at All American Speedway in Roseville on Saturday night! Drivers compete for $1,000 to win in the 15-lap Trailer Bash and can only win the race if their trailer survives the chaos. Lincoln’s Alan Bridgman and Roseville’s Loren Chitwood have split the Trailer Bashes this season. Prizes for best theme and master of disaster are decided by the crowd. Tickets are online only at www.AllAmericanSpeedway.com. (Gold Country Media)

- Roseville High School and the football program is saddened by the news of the passing of Coach Danny Garcia. Coach Garcia was a Roseville high school graduate and long time coach to various sports at Roseville High School for over 20 years. Coach Garcia will be missed by many and will always be remembered as a Tiger. (Facebook)
