Placer Theatre Ballet Presents Cinderella, Opening May 4 in Auburn

Placer Theatre Ballet (PTB) presents Cinderella, a beautiful ballet rendition of one of the most cherished fairy tales of all time. Join Cinderella and her evil stepmother, 2 stepsisters, animal friends, fairies of the seasons and her fairy godmother. PTB has everything you need for a perfect night at the royal ball, including a pumpkin carriage, a beautiful gown and beautiful pointe shoes. Cinderella and the prince fall in love at the ball, but as the clock strikes midnight, Cinderella must leave before the enchanted gifts from the fairies of the seasons return to their original state. Will the prince find his true love with her shoe as his only guide?

"Placer Theatre Ballet has become a tradition for area families," said Shea Wing, PTB’s Artistic Director. "We are proud not only to present our annual Nutcracker ballet each December, but also to offer a spring show each year. This year, we are bringing Cinderella to life for the third time.”

The Cinderella performance will feature three Roseville dancers. Rachel Huntington will be dancing as a Royal Entertainer, Haley Gill as a Summer Fairy and Rebecca Plummer as a mouse. Joining them will be several Granite Bay dancers - Julie Lynch will de a Dancing Pumpkin and Suniea Zito, Megan Lynch and Elyse Weaver will be mice.

Placer Theatre Ballet offers local dancers, from 5 years old to adults, the opportunity to perform a full ballet production on stage. Whether they’ve been dancing with PTB for years, or it’s their first show, the 90-member cast is committed to delivering top-notch performances this May.

All seats reserved; ticket prices are between $13 and $20, plus a service charge for all tickets. Call for discounts for groups (15 or more) or special seating needs. Our "Donate a Ticket" program provides an opportunity for the public to donate any amount toward the cost of a ticket for a child or senior in need, with $15 covering one ticket. This program helps more families in need enjoy the special enchantment of a live theatre ballet performance. Placer Theatre Ballet's Donate A Ticket program works through Placer County CASA, Foster Care Agency Placer Kids, and other local organizations.

PTB's Cinderella will be presented at Placer High School Theater located at 275 Orange Street (Corner of High & Agard) in Auburn, California.
