RHS Alumni Association - Centennial Merchandise
Centennial Merchandise On Sale at Downtown Tuesday Night, 7/31/2012

We hear about it all the time – the old mixed emotions. Some happy, some sad. Combined they make for a terrific and memorable event. And so it is with our Downtown Tuesday Night merchandise sales events. On one hand, we have braved soaring temperatures and hot pavement, while on the positive side we’ve had great fun interacting with the crowds, hearing the music from the bands, and enjoying the shared stories told by Roseville High School alumni as they stop by our booth. With more than 19,000 graduates since 1912, it’s not surprising that alumni, faculty and staff immediately recognize our tiger logo and enthusiastically share their recollections of times that are dear to their hearts. This Tuesday, July 31st, is the last scheduled Downtown Tuesday Night event of this year, and so our last opportunity to have our booth on Vernon Street.
If you are in the area, please stop by and say “hi”! And of course, while you’re at the booth, consider purchasing one of the many merchandise options available. In addition to t-shirts and tank tops, we have hats, tote bags and blankets/throws. Having your choice of centennial merchandise helps spread the word and is a fun way to remember your old high school! For those Roseville residents who have multiple generations who have graduated from RHS, consider a Centennial Yearbook Sponsorship. For a very reasonable fee, you can list your family members along with their year of graduation. Since this is a printed document, a sponsorship essentially lists your family name in an historical record. This is very exciting now and could be even more so for future generations! Because of the lead time required for printing, the window for purchasing sponsorships is quickly closing. If this option is of interest to you, I recommend you send in your paperwork this week. If you prefer to order your merchandise, yearbook, or sponsorship online, please go to our website at www.RosevilleHighAlumni.org. Click on “announcements” on the left hand side. Click on the order form of your choice, print it, fill it out and send it in with your payment.
Another great reason to visit this last Downtown Tuesday Night event is to have the chance to hear members of the RHS band jam on stage! A small group will be playing during the band break for twenty minutes at 7pm and 8pm. This group has practiced during the summer and is a perfect example of how intertwined school and community can be.

The Roseville High School Alumni Association is a non-profit public benefit corporation which was established in 1991. The purpose of the corporation is to support and encourage motivated students, reward student achievement by a broad scholarship fund, improve the relations between school and home, provide new thinking and innovation for the betterment of RHS and the secondary education system, and develop volunteer efforts to achieve these purposes. All proceeds we receive are used to fulfill the Teachers’ Wish List requests and to award student scholarships on an annual basis. Because this is the 100th anniversary, proceeds from merchandise sales will be used to help offset the cost of the Centennial Celebration Weekend events, scheduled from Friday, September 14th through Sunday, September 16th. These community wide events are opportunities for everyone to join us as we recognize and celebrate the past 100 years of existence for the high school and the school district. Additional and more detailed information about the Homecoming Parade, the Open Campus Day and the Centennial Picnic will be released during August.
Our sales efforts will continue through the rest of 2012. If you are planning a class reunion or gathering, consider asking us to join you for an hour or two. We will be pleased to share in your festivities and make the merchandise available to your classmates. Send an email with the details to Charlene Rhodes at crhodes@surewest.net.
