Update: Breaking: Mother Arrested For Death of Her Toddler

A Roseville woman was arrested Thursday morning after her daughter's Wednesday death was deemed suspicious by authorities.

Roseville Police arrested a Roseville woman, Denise Marie Wilder, 37, on Thursday morning for the death of her 2-year-old daughter.

Officers from the Roseville Police Department deemed the death suspicious after responding to a call to the 300 block of Diamond Oaks Road home around 5:07p.m. on Wednesday.

A family friend went to the home to look for Wilder and called police after finding the child wasn’t breathing.

Police say Wilder was intoxicated when they arrived at the scene. Officers confirmed the toddler, McKinley Wilder, was dead.

Denise Wilder’s other 5-year-old daughter was also at the scene and taken into custody by Child Protective Services after being medically checked. The 5-year-old has been placed with family.

The home belongs to the children’s grandparents who were out of town.

The mother was arrested on suspicion of homicide and child endangerment. No other information was provided due to the ongoing investigation and pending autopsy.
