Coming Soon to Roseville: Hobby Lobby, Incredible Pets, Possible FBI Office
During the Chamber's lunch, City Manager Ray Kerridge announced a few new businesses coming to Roseville and the possibility of an FBI office opening here.
Roseville may become the location for a Federal Bureau of Investigation office in the near future.
According to Assistant City Manager Rob Jensen, there is a “high potential” that an FBI site may be in Roseville’s future.
“They’ve been engaging with the city and they’re very interested in a site in Roseville,” Jensen said.

Jensen said the FBI has a number of satellite offices in the area and is looking to consolidate them into one larger location, possibly within the northeast area of Roseville. Jensen said they would construct their own building as opposed to taking over an existing vacant building.
This news may help the become the Sacramento area’s leader – a mission that was shared during the Roseville Chamber of Commerce lunch Friday.

“We’re one city and we’re open for business,” was the motto, expressed by both Jensen and City Manager Ray Kerridge.
“This city is going to continue to grow,” Kerridge said. “And we will be the metropolitan center for the region.”
The City of Roseville’s current population is about 120,000 residents, Jensen said, with a daytime population of approximately 150,000 people. With the city attracting new businesses and residents, Kerridge said he is optimistic that the City of Roseville will become the area’s leader in the future, taking the title from the City of Sacramento.
To become a local leader, attracting business is key for the city and Kerridge said the city continues to attract new businesses, including a few new, large retailers.
Here’s a peek at what’s coming soon to Roseville:
Hobby Lobby
An arts and crafts store, Hobby Lobby will be opening its doors at the vacant Mervyns building on Douglas Boulevard, Kerridge said.
The Oklahoma City-based company began operations in 1972 and currently has more than 400 locations in 40 states, according to the website.
The store will sell items ranging from home accents, crafts, picture framing, jewelry making to fabrics, floral and party supplies.
Incredible Pets
A pet and pet-product store, Incredible Pets will be opening at Roseville Square near in Roseville, according to Kerridge.
The local business currently has locations in Auburn, Carmichael, Grass Valley and East Sacramento. For more information, visit their website.
Speed Factory
It’s all about speed at Speed Factory, a go-kart racing facility expected to open in September, according to a recent article in the Sacramento Business Journal. Speed Factory will open in a 60,000-square-foot warehouse on Washington Boulevard in Roseville, according to the article, and the owners are working on acquiring a beer and wine liquor license.

Any Mountain
A ski, snowboard and rental shop called Any Mountain will be opening this fall also in Roseville Square. The Bay Area-based shop sells outdoor equipment and products.
