Harry Crabb Park Groundbreaking Thursday

Phase one of construction is expected to be complete in early 2013 and will include volleyball courts, children's play area and other amenities.

Thursday morning, Roseville will be breaking ground on its 68th park.

Named after former Roseville Mayor Harry Crabb, Crabb Park is located on the corner of Secret Ravine Parkway between Scarborough Drive and Luciana Way. Crabb served on the Roseville City Council and Planning Commission and served Roseville residents for more than 25 years. He is also a strong supporter of youth sports activities.

Thursday's groundbreaking marks the start of phase one of the park. Phase one includes sand volleyball courts, restrooms, covered picnic area, turf area, children's play area and perimeter walkway. City staff expects the first phase will be complete in early 2013.
