Males Carjack Car from Couple
At 12:54 a.m. April 19, officers responded to a report of suspicious males in an apartment complex lot in the 400 block of Cirby Way, rummaging through unlocked vehicles. A few minutes later, males matching the same description approached a couple sitting in a car in a parking lot near Cirby Way and Riverside Avenue, ordered them of their car in a threatening way and then took their car.
They were last seen driving onto westbound I-80. A few hours later, the Oakland Police Department found the victims' stolen car abandoned in their city, undamaged.

The unknown suspects were described as four black males in their late teens or early 20s. They told the carjacking victims they had guns, but no guns were seen, and fortunately the victims weren't injured. The case is under investigation.
Woman’s Purse Snatched at Grocery Store Parking Lot

At 3:47 a.m. April 22, a woman was robbed of her purse in a grocery store parking lot on Fairway Drive.
The suspect was a white male in his 20s or 30s, 6'0" tall and 180 to 200 pounds, with blond hair, wearing a blue sweatshirt, dark blue baseball cap and blue jeans. He was driving a dark colored large SUV, similar to a GMC Yukon or a Chevy Tahoe, with a sunroof.
He threatened her with a stun gun and demanded her purse. She gave him her purse and he drove away. Fortunately she wasn't injured.
Commercial Burglaries, Vandalism:
On the night of April 16/17, someone broke the glass front door to a car dealership in the 400 block of Riverside Avenue. It doesn't appear anyone went inside, and nothing was taken.
On the night of April 16/17, an air conditioning unit was stolen from a business park complex in the 9000 block of Foothills Blvd.
On the night of April 21/22, an auto repair shop in the 200 block of Kenroy Lane was burglarized. The burglar broke the glass door to get in, and stole a computer monitor, car repair equipment and other items.
Arrest Made for Suspicious Activity
At 2:41 p.m. on April 16, officers responded to a resident's report of people possibly going into the backyard of a vacant property on Clinton Avenue. Officers stopped a car associated with the suspicious people nearby, and found them to have lock picks and other suspected burglary tools. A 26-year-old male from Roseville was arrested on suspicion of parole violation and possession of burglary tools.
Vehicle-related Crime:
On the night of April 12/13, someone broke the window of a car parked in a driveway in Sienna Loop and took a purse that had been hidden under the backseat. The burglar also took car stereo equipment.
Between 10 and 11 a.m. on April 15, someone broke the window of a car parked in the Miner's Ravine parking lot on Sierra College Blvd. Nothing was taken.
Overnight on April 15/16, someone went into an apparently unlocked car on Lions Den Street, stole an i-Pod and pried the stereo, but didn't remove it.
Between 8:20 and 9:45 a.m. on April 16, an unknown suspect broke the window of a car parked in a fitness center parking lot in the 5000 block of Foothills Boulevard, and took a shopping bag containing new clothing and a cosmetics bag. A suspect was seen in the parking lot, looking into several vehicle windows. He was described as a white male wearing a dark colored top, driving a white vehicle with tinted windows.
On the night of April 16/17, a suspect went into two vehicles in the Cresthaven neighborhood, one in the 600 block of Vernon Oaks and one in the 500 block of Lyndhurst Avenue. One vehicle had been left unlocked, and the other vehicle was locked, but had a window that had been left cracked open. The thief stole a backpack containing books and a laptop computer, i-Pods, and several credit and gift cards.
At 2 a.m. on April 18, officers contacted a male who was riding an unlighted bicycle in the wrong direction of travel on Harding Boulevard. They conducted a probation search on the male, and found he was carrying property stolen from the two victims in the Cresthaven neighborhood. The 24-year-old male local transient was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property, committing a felony while out on bail for another felony, and warrants.
Overnight on April 18/19, someone went into tool boxes mounted in a pickup in the 1100 block of Augusta Way, and took a jackhammer and a power saw. There was no sign of forced entry to the tool boxes. On the morning of April 15, officers responded to a report of a suspicious couple on the street, who appeared to be checking out the victim's pickup and another pickup. The suspicious vehicle was a black Toyota 4-door sedan, occupied by a black male and a black female.
On the night of April 18/19, someone stole a Nissan pickup from the 1800 block of St. Basil Circle. The CHP Auburn area office located the vehicle on April 19, undamaged and unoccupied.
Between 6:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. on April 19, someone broke the window of a car at the Park and Ride on Taylor Road and took a yoga mat and other minor items.
On the night of April 20/21, an unknown suspect broke the windows out of a vehicle on Wood Oak Court.
On the night of April 20/21, an unknown suspect spray-painted a line of paint on a pickup parked in the 3300 block of Mt. Tamalpais Drive.
Between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m. on April 21, someone broke the window of a car parked in a grocery store parking lot in the 4000 block of Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. Nothing was taken.
Overnight on April 21/22, someone went into an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 500 block of Oak Ridge Drive and ripped the stereo out of the dashboard.
Residential Burglaries:
Wednesday, March 21
At 2:22 a.m. on March 21, officers and Roseville firefighter-paramedics responded to an injured man at an apartment in the 1600 block of Sierra Gardens. They learned that a resident had been drinking in his apartment with a couple of acquaintances, and they hit him in the face and took an undetermined amount of money from him. He was taken to the hospital, treated and released. The case is being referred to detectives to identify and locate the suspects.
Wednesday, April 4
Between April 4 and 16, someone went into a home in the 100 block of Cedar Street while the resident was away, and took televisions and other electronic items.
Saturday, April 14
Backyard burglary — Between April 14 and 22, someone stole a pool valve from the backyard of a home in the 1600 block of Calabria Way.
Metal Thefts:
Between April 13 and 18, someone stole a catalytic converter from a GMC box truck in a parking lot in the 300 block of North Sunrise Ave.
Overnight April 14/15, someone cut a security tether and stole patio furniture from the patio of a restaurant in the 1400 block of Eureka Road.
