At 9:34 p.m. on Feb. 1, officers responded to a restaurant parking lot, to a citizen's report that some males were trying to break into a vehicle.  An Asian male suspect was waiting in a lowered black SUV with black spray-painted rims, while two other males-a black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a short Hispanic male--were prying the door of a locked vehicle.  Fortunately nothing was taken, possibly because they were scared off by the alert witness.  Another vehicle burglary was reported in the 1500 block of Eureka Road; the same suspects may be responsible.
