DNA Match Leads to Arrest
A Sacramento man was arrested June 21 on suspicion of robbery. DNA evidence collected on the scene of a May 14, 2010 bank robbery led to the identification and arrest of a suspect.

have arrested a Sacramento man suspected of robbing a bank in Roseville on May 14, 2010. DNA evidence collected from the scene led to the identification and arrest of 41-year-old Shawn Todd David Knuckey of Sacramento, according to a release.
Around noon on May 14, 2010, Roseville Police officers responded to a robbery at , located inside the Bel Air supermarket at 1039 Sunrise Ave. The robber, a white male wearing a ball-cap and a San Francisco Giants jersey, gave the bank clerk a note demanding money, took the cash and left the area, according to police.
Roseville's CSI technicians collected evidence from the scene, including a water bottle that the suspect had left behind. The technicians sent a sample containing possible DNA to California Department of Justice's crime laboratory for analysis. Last week, Department of Justice technicians notified the Roseville Police Department of a DNA match.

Knuckey is being held in the Placer County Jail in lieu of $85,000 bail.
