'Imagine a world where every little girl
owned at least ONE dress!" .... and you helped either in the process of
preparation or you actually made it!
We have SEW much fun in creating
adorable dresses that will bring love and dignity to little girls as well as
protection. Did you know that a little girl who has torn or tattered clothing,
is prime target to being abused? We can help protect her! The label, Dress a
Girl Around the World that we put on the outside sends a message that "an
organization is watching out for her!" (hands off!)
We DEPEND on
DONATIONS .... NEW or GENTLY used pillowcases (if used: no white/no stains/no
'pillies') or we appreciate donations of material at least 3/4
yard.
DONATIONS of: EXTRA WIDE, DOUBLE FOLD BIAS TAPE (2 pkgs will make 3
dresses) ... or give us a financial donation as we have a vendor and can
purchase the bias tape for less!
DONATIONS of Packages of Panties (sizes
2-12) ... Sharon and I put a pair in each pocket!
Bring a non-sticky
finger food snack to share!
GUEST WHAT? We have seen 10K dresses made in our area since
it began in my living room in March 2010 by women all around our Northern Calif.
area!
