Should Roseville Beef Up Security at the Local Movie Theater?
After a shooting during "The Dark Knight Rises" premier in Aurora, Colorado, do you think local movie theaters should increase security? Roseville Police don't have plans for added security at the United Artists theater.

Some local law enforcement agencies have plans to increase security at local movie theaters in response to , but Roseville isn’t one of them.
Roseville Police Officer Chris Nowicki said they don’t have plans for added security at the Roseville movie theater, unless the theater reaches out to police. As of Friday afternoon, Roseville’s United Artists theater hadn’t contacted Roseville Police for additional security, Nowicki said.

A spokesman from Regal Entertainment Group, which owns United Artists, has not returned a call from Roseville Patch at the time of this posting.

However, in nearby Elk Grove, Elk Grove Police are keeping an extra eye on their city’s movie theater by having patrol officers to drive through the movie theater’s parking lot, .
In a statement on the Facebook page, Regal Cinemas wrote that “the security and safety of our guests and staff is always our number one priority. As is our custom, we will continue to monitor the situation and adjust our security needs as necessary.”
Although Roseville does not have an AMC Theatres, the company announced on its Facebook page that they will not allow fake weapons or people to wear masks that cover a person’s face.
