Enjoy a day of family fun watching freestyle Mexican wrestling

Denio’s Farmers Market and Swap Meet in Roseville will host a special Mexican Wrestling event on Sunday, October 18, featuring famed Mexican wrestlers Hijo De Fishman, Mascara Infernal, Furia Nocturna and many more. Doors open to the public at 12 noon, with the first match starting at 1 p.m.

Lucha Libre Mexicana will take place within the market in an area known as the “G Warehouse.” More than 10 “Luchadores” will face off against one another both individually and as teams. The “lucha libre Mexicana” style of wrestling, translated as “freestyle wrestling,” traditionally showcases more agile wrestlers and includes more aerial maneuvers than professional wrestling typically seen in the United States. Using the ring’s ropes, wrestlers fling themselves in high-flying strikes at their opponents. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind event revolving around an 85-year-old Mexican tradition.

This family friendly event costs $15 for general admission, $10 for kids general admission and $20 for premium seats in Rows 3 and 4. Children under 3 years of age are free. The parking fee is $3 per car.
