130th Anniversary with John Wesley

130th Easter Sunday with John Wesley

First United Methodist Church was dedicated on Easter Sunday, March 4, 1883. We invite you to join us on our 130th Easter Sunday Service on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013. Our founding father, John Wesley (1703-1791), will be our guest preacher. Rev. Don Baldwin will portray our Methodism's founder. He will give the children's sermon, deliver the Easter message, and serve Holy Communion.

Rev. Baldwin, a retired elder in the California-Nevada Annual Conference and a member of Earth Justice Ministries in Nevada City, CA, wrote, "Pastor Paul Joseph, thank you so much! What a delightful surprise, and I am so honored by your invitation. It will be a pleasure and a gift to be Wesley on the "liturgical anniversary" of the church."

Following the service, there will be a church potluck. Please bring something to share.

Come and experience the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus at our 130th Easter Service!
