Roseville’s own Dance Gallery 2 has much to celebrate as it enters its 21st holiday season. In addition to the excitement of a brand new, state-of-the art studio, the dancers are diligently preparing for their upcoming annual Holiday Revue Performance in December celebrating the 20th anniversary of sponsorship by the Sutter Memorial Hospital Child Life Program. The Child Life Program assists families whose children are seriously or terminally ill. This year celebrates the 20th season of donating their Holiday Revue proceeds to this worthwhile organization.
The DG2 dancers are again honored as the United States Marine Corps joins them for their Toys for Tots Foundation. Members of the United States Marine Corps will be present at the performance as the DG2 Student Teachers will be working with them to collect new, unwrapped toys for the national, "Toys for Tots" project. "Toys for Tots" distributes Christmas gifts to the families in our communities that may not have the ability to provide Christmas gifts for their children under their tree. The Dance Gallery 2 feels privileged to have the opportunity to assist the U.S. Marines in this special endeavor.
Once again, this dazzling benefit event features dancers of all ages performing ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and break dance routines; it will also offer a sneak peek of the award- winning DG2 Parade Dancers. 34 of the DG2 distinguished dancers will be performing in parades throughout the Sacramento area during this holiday season, including the Roseville Holiday Parade, Loomis Day Before Thanksgiving Parade, and Auburn Parade of Lights. The DG2 Disney Parade Dancers will then continue the honor of representing northern California in the "Holiday Spectacular Parade" down Disneyland’s Main Street U.S.A. on December 10th .
