Dog outing to Dave Moore Nature Area

Everyone is welcome to come on this outing!

RDOG is sponsoring this outing on February 23rd. Please meet in the Dave Moore parking lot at 11 am. From Auburn, take Elm Street exit, and follow Highway 49 over the bridge past the town of Cool, then its 9.3 miles to the entrance.

About the area: It is located just north of the Marshall Gold Discovery State Park at Coloma on Highway 49 in El Dorado County. One of the main features of the area is a loop trail about a mile long which goes from the parking lot trail head to the scenic and popular South Fork American River and back again passing through several habitat types. Best of all, your pooch can sniff around and play leash free!

We'll walk down the 1/2 mile gentle path to the river where the dogs can play. Then travel back to the picnic area for lunch. Bring towels, treats, water, poop bags, and a pack lunch. There is a porta potty, but no running water.

Please email newsletter@rosevilledog.org to let us know you are coming.
