This Saturday, April 27th is the annual Mormon Helping Hands Community Service day, where hundreds of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, aka the Mormons, along with friends and neighbors will be working around the City of Roseville. Also on this same day there will be thousands of church members and their friends providing this same community service in their respective cities all across the state of California.
With the help of Roseville City Leaders, 4 key areas have been identified to provide service. You will see hundreds of families in yellow Mormon Helping Hands vests in the following areas this Saturday morning, 4/27 at 9am:
1) Downtown Roseville - Vernon Street (Arch to Arch): cleaning up trash, light pruning, weeding, tree trimming, washing windows of store fronts with permission of owners, and general beautification of area.
2) Historic Roseville (entire area - tracks to bridges): same as above.
3) Rocky Ridge (Cirby to Douglas): clean up, weeding, light pruning on Rocky Ridge, and surrounding area near Maidu Park.
4) Blue Oaks Park (Blue Oaks to Horncastle): pull back growth around trees, clean up, weeding, pruning, etc.
We want the citizens of Roseville be aware of the event so you know what is going on when they see all these people working in yellow vests, AND to let you know that you are are welcome to join us!
