FBI Plans to Open Regional Office in Roseville

They've settled on a space in northeast Roseville, the Sacramento Business Journal reports.

Roseville may become the location for a Federal Bureau of Investigation office in the near future.

Last summer, Assistant City Manager Rob Jensen said there was a . Now, John Sprague, community development director with the City of Roseville, tells the Sacramento Business Journal that the FBI has settled on a space.

They plan to create a regional office on a nearly 12-acre space in northeast Roseville, located in the Stone Point master plan, which includes sites along Stone Point Drive bordered by E. Roseville Parkway, Rocky Ridge Drive, N. Sunrise Avenue and Eureka Road, the SBJ reports.

The FBI has a number of satellite offices in the area and plans to consolidate them into one larger location, Jensen told Roseville Patch last year.

No word yet on a timeframe, but it's a move that shows how attractive Roseville is for new business, Sprague told the SBJ.
