- Roseville police officers witnessed an accident waiting to happen as they saw a "vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, go through an intersection with a solid red light." They pursued the vehicle and ultimately arrested 27-year-old Wester Bradford of Roseville. Bradford was booked into the Placer County Jail on multiple charges, including driving under the influence. Roseville Police remind you that even if you have a green light, check the intersection you're entering. You never know who else might be out there, not paying attention. - Uncle Charlie's Firehouse and Brew is coming to Historic Folsom! A rare unanimous vote of the city council secured its place in the district. "To get a unanimous vote on something like this is not usual, which just shows how everyone is excited about the economic vitality this will bring to the community. To be at helm of it all is very exciting for us," said Taryn, daughter of the father-daughter duo who will own the place. (Folsom Times)
- Work on Midas Road between Argonaut Avenue and Fifth Street in Rocklin is still progressing. The weather impacted some of the forward progress, though. "Much of this work is weather dependent, however crews have still been able to accomplish work despite the rain the past week," according to the city website. Next steps will be to start demolition of the existing structure. (rocklin.ca.us)
