  1. A man is dead after crashing his vehicle into a tree alongside I-80 on Saturday morning. The crash happened near the Douglas Boulevard exit on the westbound side of the freeway. Police say it's unknown how fast the driver was going at the time and what caused his vehicle to leave the roadway. (KCRA Sacramento)
  2. Woodcreek beat Rocklin High in the season's opening baseball game in Roseville Friday night. The score ended at 11-2 in Woodcreek's favor. The Timberwolves' next game is against De La Salle in Concord on March 11. (Gold Country Media)
  3. Roseville Police's 911 Public Safety Newsletter is out! Learn about securing your home, starting a neighborhood watch, identity theft and more in this edition!
  4. On March 1, Roseville firefighters responded to a report of a broken gas line. When they arrived, they found that a backhoe had hit the line and the line was leaking gas. Businesses in the area were evacuated, as hazardous materials crews worked to fix the broken line. Those crews applied a clamp "to mitigate the leak" so PG&E could work to fix it permanently.
